Privacy

Last updated 30 October 2026. This policy explains what information sabirshaikh.in collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. "We" means Sabir Salim Shaikh and the team that runs this website.

What we collect

When you use the contact form

Your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. We use these only to read and reply to your message.

When you browse the site

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and how they found the site. It records things like the pages you visit, roughly where you are (city level), your device and browser, and which links you click. It does not tell us who you are.

Instagram posts

The home page shows recent Instagram posts. Clicking one takes you to Instagram, where Instagram's own privacy policy applies.

The podcast video

The podcast episode is hosted on YouTube. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; after that, the video plays through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube's privacy policy applies.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept for as long as the conversation is useful, and no longer than two years. Analytics data is kept for 14 months, the Google Analytics default.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. It is handled by the services that run the site: our web host, Google Analytics, and the service that delivers contact form messages. Each of them processes it only to provide that service.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello.sabirshaikh@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
